The KYF Summer camp is a four-day art and farming day camp led by Farmer Colette, a garden teacher at Riverdale.
We're offering two sessions this year:
- August 5-8
August 12-15(full!)
Campers will help take care of chickens, harvest vegetables and flowers, concoct potions and herbal remedies, create beautiful fairy houses, paint with watercolors, practice scientific drawing, mix up tasty snacks, raspberry lemonade, and more! Camp is held on our 1/2 acre farmette in the Marshall Park area of SW Portland.
Camp will run from 9:30am - 1:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Kids should bring a sack lunch, and we'll also have snacks from the garden. The cost is $300 and we can accommodate up to 10 kids per session. If you've got a younger or older kid that's interested, get in touch and we'll see what can work! In the case of extreme heat, we will be in the air conditioned house doing art projects : )
